COVID-19 LEVEL 3 Update
Moving to Alert Level 3 !
How exciting that we are one step closer to normality! We cant wait to see all our amazing patients and their lovely smiles.
As we have now entered the Level 3 COVID-19 restrictions, with the guidelines from the dental council softening considerably, we are now able to carry out more dental procedures and we are open six days a week !
Your safety and our staff’s safety remains our number one priority. Therefore, we are only able to have one dentist and one hygienist working each day to allow the necessary surgery stand downtime of 30 mins after each appointment and social distancing within the practice.
Please note, we can see you by APPOINTMENT ONLY, so please do not visit us without an appointment.
Following the strict guidelines of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA), during level 3, we are still not operating at full capacity, & therefore previously booked appointments will potentially need to be rescheduled. If your previously booked appointment is this coming week, or if you are experiencing any dental problems and as we are unable to accept walk-ins, please contact us on (09) 412 9507 or message us on Google, Facebook or Instagram or email us at email@example.com and our friendly receptionists will be happy to help you.
The great news is that we are one step closer to level 2, where we can see all our lovely patients for routine dental visits.

What are we doing to keep you safe?
Our number one priority has always been the health and safety of our patients and staff.
We are heavily guided by the New Zealand Dental Council and our practice meets all the Infection Control and Prevention standards given by the NZDC. At Kumeu Dental we have always taken cross infection control extremely seriously even pre COVID-19.
Kumeu Dental is very proud to have successfully treated many existing and new patients throughout the lockdown while minimizing the spread of COVID-19.
Screening patients before appointments:
To ensure your safety, our staff’s safety, and to limit the risk of infection, we will be in touch to ask our screening questions prior to your appointment.
Please consider the following questions:
Have you, or anyone coming in contact with you, had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19?
Have you travelled internationally in the last 14 days?
Do you have any flu-like symptoms:
– Sore throat
– Shortness of breath
– Loss of sense of smell & taste
If you have answered yes to any of those questions above and you need an emergency appointment with us, please call one of our friendly receptionists on 09 4129507, so we can talk through your options.
Additionally, we do advise you as per the Government guidelines to stay at home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
